I decided to re-take Math 1010 so I could move into the next math course with confidence. I am glad that I am taking this class because the formulas make better sense the second time through. I constantly hear negative comments about math and how algebraic expressions are never used in daily life, but I disagree. There is a math solution for almost everything. I don’t believe it should be a matter of when or where you may or may not use algebraic equations instead having the knowledge and solutions to these problems are what matters the most. Knowledge gained will never be worthless, especially if you become comfortable with all the required steps. I definitely feel more confident with the materials I have learned concerning, math 1010, thus far. I know that I will be able to move forward with confidence into math 1050 and continue of practicing mathematical problems will only help me to gain more confidence and I will be able to help my son with his math assignments. As tedious as math work may end up being its worth the repetitiveness.
